Discover Columbus: World War II Era to 2017
Janice R. Ulrich and Suzanne T. Walcott

In her first historical book on Columbus, Wisconsin; "Images of America-Columbus", Janice Ulrich told how all the services developed to make Columbus, Wisconsin thrive after its initial settlement on the Crawfish River in 1839 by Major Elbert Dickason and Lewis Ludington. That first book covered approximately the history of Columbus, Wisconsin's first 110 years. Now in this volume, the author begins by relating some of the historical events which set Columbus, Wisconsin apart as it dealt with the hardships of World War II. From there, she brings the story of Columbus' history up to 2017 with current images of buildings, businesses, services and people that comprise the community today. Through 155 photographs (many in color) she expands upon the information presented in her first book and continues to relate Columbus' history through engaging, succinct, and highly readable captions.
